Meet The Founders

In 2019, Leo and Mayra-husband and wife-took their first step and started Miami Cafe®, a brand rooted in authenticity and cuban culture. Their journey started not with a storefront, but with research, late nights, and a belief that they could build something meaningful from the ground up.

In 2020, while the world slowed down, they leaned in. During lockdown, their kitchen became a testing ground-refining recipes, shaping flavors, and slowly turning an idea into a brand people could truly connect with.

By 2021, that idea met the real world. Their first catering event served just 20 people. They were nervous. Excited.

In 2022, those 20 plates turned into hundreds-week after week-at their local SCV farmers markets. What once felt small was now becoming a community.

In 2023, the dream grew even bigger. From serving food to creating products, they launched their espresso brand which soon after caught the eye of the Miami Dolphins who reached out to collaborate for their 2023-2024 season.

And in 2026, the journey continues. The Miami Cafe® family is growing, and it's back to the lab-this time for their biggest launch yet:
