Fair questions. I grew up in Miami and later moved to Los Angeles. After leaving, I realized how much I missed the food, culture, and everyday traditions that made Miami feel like home. Miami Cafe started as a catering company with plans to become a physical cafe, but eventually evolved into a food brand focused on bringing those flavors and experiences to more people. Today, we're based in Los Angeles, but everything we make is inspired by the Miami I grew up with.

Mucho Mojo was created out of high demand from customers who tried our Cuban sandwiches and food. We were constantly being asked to make it after we left the farmers market. So, Mucho Mojo was born. Mojo is a flavorful garlic-citrus marinade that originated in the Canary Islands and made its way through the Caribbean centuries ago. Many cultures have their own version, but the most well-known comes from Cuba—using ingredients like sour orange, olive oil, cumin, oregano, garlic, and onion. These simple staples are the foundation of iconic dishes like lechón asado and arroz con pollo. Mucho Mojo was built from those exact roots, but taken a step further. It's designed as an all-purpose flavor enhancer—use it to marinate, drizzle it over finished dishes, or even as a dip for your favorite snacks

Mucho Mojo is priced differently because it's made differently. Many mass-produced mojo-style marinades use water as the base, along with concentrated juices, seed oils, dehydrated seasonings, artificial coloring, preservatives, and plastic packaging. They're designed for scale and long shelf life—not flavor integrity. Mucho Mojo is built around real ingredients: fresh garlic, fresh onion, real orange and lime juice, cumin, oregano, and extra virgin olive oil. It's also bottled in glass and made in small batches to preserve freshness and quality. Because of that, it's not just a marinade—it's a full-flavor sauce you can marinate with, drizzle over food, or use as a dip. We made a conscious decision early on that quality wouldn't be something we compromised on. Mucho Mojo is the real deal.

No — our Mojo is not spicy. The best way to describe it is a savory garlic-citrus sauce with fresh citrus, and aromatic spices. Bright, bold, and full of flavor!

You're right! Sour orange is a traditional ingredient in Cuban mojo, but it's very difficult to source in bulk, expensive, and not available year-round at scale. To combat these obstacles, we use a perfected blend of orange and lime juice to recreate that same classic flavor profile— This keeps us staying true to tradition while keeping Mucho Mojo consistent, accessible, and ready for everyday use.

We ship Mucho Mojo using USPS 2-Day Priority to make sure it arrives fast and fresh. However, rising transportation and fuel costs have significantly increased shipping rates nationwide, and USPS pricing is expected to remain higher through at least 2027. Because shipping is based on the box—not the number of bottles—you'll pay the same shipping cost whether you order 1 bottle or up to 4 bottles. We're also actively working on adding more affordable ground shipping options to help reduce costs, especially for customers on the East Coast. In the meantime, we usually recommend ordering more than one bottle per order so you can make the most of the shipping cost—and have extra on hand.

Our espresso coffee was made with 100% Arabica beans, shade-grown and crafted specifically for authentic Cuban-style coffee. It was a premium product with certifications that reflected its quality—but that also meant higher production costs. Over time, rising costs across the coffee industry—including transportation and tariffs—made it difficult to keep it at a price point that worked for our customers. As a result, we had to pause production while we look for the right roasting partner. Our goal is to relaunch when we find the right balance: maintaining the quality and flavor you expect from Miami Cafe, while keeping it more accessible and sustainable long term.
